Mnemosine (2017) is an autobiographical videoperformance. As a Brazilian artist granddaughter of Greek immigrants, this process was an attempt to establish some kind of connection with my ancestors through a costume and a mental proposition. The ritual consisted of:

(IN THE BEDROOM)

- Wear a traditional 19th century Greek costume (like my great-grandparents);

(ON THE COMPUTER)

- Search files, online and quickly, about everything that came to my mind about Greece.

Coded genetic memory. Identity translated into the machine's time-space. Insufficient storage space for a culture. Impossible portrait of simultaneous immemorial times. Mnemosine.
